Municipal Theater
The Municipal Theater of Ho Chi Minh City is located on Dong Khoi Street, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City. The theatre is thought of as the central theatre that specialises in organising performances on the art stages and is also the place where a number of important events take place. This is an age-old and large theatre whose architecture is of the Imperialism style. In 1983, the troupes from France came here to perform. At first, they performed in the wooden house of the Admiral at Clock Square (Place de L'Horloge) at the corner Nguyen Du - Dong Khoi now. After that, the Great Theatre (The city's theatre today) was on the construction in 1898. At the beginning of 1990, the theatre was inaugurated formally. The front of the theatre was decorated with many statues and floating-heaped statues.

In the World War I and World War II, to have troupes come from France to perform, Sai Gon City had to subsidise a lot. Therefore, many people have suggested that they should use the theatre as the place for the French troupes to play. The project of changing was billed in 1943 and then the front of the theatre was restored and became as what we see today.

With one ground floor and two upper storeys together with 1,800 chairs and soothing atmosphere of the great sound and light, The Great Museum of The City has been evaluated as the most ideal and professional place with excellent services by both local and foreign guests.
