Tay Ninh Province
Tay Ninh Province is a province lying at the border gate of the South-Eastern with the total area of 4,028 square kilometres. It has Tay Ninh Township and 8 districts: Tan Bien, Tan Chau, Duong Minh Chau, Chau Thanh, Hoa Thanh, Ben Cau, Go Dau and Trang Bang. The province has a common frontier line of 240 kilometres with the neighbouring country Cambodia. It also borders on Cambodia, at Kompong Cham Province to the north and two provinces Prey-veng and Sway Rieng to the west and north-western of Cambodia. The east of this province is contiguous to Binh Duong Province and Binh Phuoc Province and its north meets Ho Chi Minh City and Long An. In this area, there are two important national border crossings: Moc Bai and Xa Mat.

About the history of this land, until the late 16th century, it was still an area of wild dense wood of the country Chan Lap (Cambodia now). Then in the 17th century, particularly in 1620, after the marriage of Cambodia's King Chey Chetta II and Princess Ngoc Van (Lord Nguyen Phuc Nguyen's daughter), the relationship between Vietnamese and Cambodian people grew more close-knit. From this point of time, the work of breaking fresh ground of Vietnamese generations was extended. Since then, the land became a well-off area and was an important location for military affairs, economics and foreign affairs of the two countries Vietnam and Cambodia. Till the time of Nguyen Dynasty, it belonged to Gia Dinh Residence. In 1936, Tay Ninh Province was established by combining two former provinces Tan Ninh and Quang Hoa.

Talking about ethnic group elements, mainly there are three ethnic groups living in this region. They are Viet, Khmer and Cham people. For that reason, there are three orientations of belief: Buddhism, Catholicism and Cao Dai Religion. Among there, Tay Ninh is thought of as the centre of Cao Dai Religion with Cao Thanh Holy Tower locating at Hoa Thanh District which is a famous artistic architecture of the country. Every year, on the ninth of the first month and the full moon day of the eighth month of Lunar year, people here celebrate a festivity to worship The Most Venerated God and Dieu Tri Blessed Mother and this event usually attracts more than ten thousand people from many regions around the country to join in.

This land is also the contiguous place with the mountainous area of the South-Middle's high land and Mekong River Delta; therefore, the climate here is warm and temperate all the year and this is very convenient for tourism activities. Tay Ninh Township is only 99 kilometres far from Ho Chi Minh City, following the path Crossing Asia (National Street 22A) which has been widened in order to make the traffic convenient for travelling from Ho Chi Minh City to Trang Bang Province, Go Dau and especially the commercial area at the border gate Moc Bai which is going to be a large commercial centre of both Vietnam and Cambodia. In addition, coming to this historical land, besides contemplating the typical architecture of Cao Dai Religion, tourists also have chances to visit the tourist area at Mount Ba Den or Dau Tieng Lake to enjoy more pleasures for the itinerary of discovering Vietnam region.
