About Vietnam
The Socialist Republic of Vietnam is a strip of S-shaped land and is located in the centre of South-East Asian. The north of Vietnam borders on China; the west meets Laos and Cambodia; and the eastern south overlooks East Sea and Pacific Ocean. The coastline of Vietnam is 3,260 kilometres long and the frontier of the mainland is 4,510 kilometres long.

The area of Vietnam consists of ¾ of mountainous and hilly regions (mainly low mountains and hills), two major plains (including The Mekong River Delta in the north and The Red River Delta in the southern part), many rivers and a long coastline. In the territorial sea of Vietnam, there is also a system of islands and archipelagoes comprising thousands of small and big islands which spread from the North to the South; particularly there are two great archipelagoes: Hoàng Sa and Trường Sa. With that good position, Vietnam has high temperature base; consequently, there are one hot season with much rain and one rather cold season with little rain. On that common literature base, the climate of the northern provinces (from Hải Vân mountain pass up to the North) varies in four seasons: spring, summer, autumn, and winter. However, in southern provinces, the climate is divided into two obvious seasons: rainy season and dry season.

In addition, Vietnam is multi-ethnic country with different 54 ethnic groups, including Kinh (Việt) community which makes up for nearly 90% of total population of the country. During many centuries, Vietnamese ethnic groups have had strong attachment with each other in the history fighting against invading enemies to protect the land, acquire independence, freedom and to build up the country. Every ethnic group virtually has its own language, writing and distinct cultural character which are expressed in community life and commercial activities. From the clothes, eating and living, to manners and customs in marriage, funeral and worship, all have common features. All these things have engraved into blood and heart of every Vietnamese person and are unmistakable with other cultures.

Going along with a diversified topography, temperate climate is a history of thousands of years of constructing and preserving the country that has left more than 7,000 historical and cultural relics among which 2,500 relics are categorized as being protected.

Besides, there are many interesting beauty spots throughout the country. Trips to the North Vietnam are thought of as going on a pilgrimage to the cultural cradle of Vietnam with special features in daily activities which are expressed through famous festivals like Huong Pagoda, Thay Pagoda, etc. And the most typical one is the festival of King Hung Vuong Anniversary which is considered as the National Ceremony (or National Anniversary) of all the regions in the whole nation. And when people come to the Middle Vietnam, particularly Hue, they are visiting the system of mausoleums and shrines of the kings and lords of the last reigns of feudalism and the beaches that have been recognised among the most beautiful beaches of the world by UNESCO. The last region is the South Vietnam which is a young land with a typical fast living pace of one of the most developed urban areas of the country.

In these years, the Vietnam's tourism industry has attracted millions of tourists from both domestic and overseas, contributing much to the GDP of Vietnam. Moreover, many opportunities have been created as good conditions to make all people in the five continents understand and love this country more.
